Claim of sabotage against CN Rail

A claim of sabotage has been made against CN Rail lines in Montreal, in opposition to the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and in solidarity with indigenous struggles. The claim was posted on Quebec Indymedia (CMAQ): http://www.cmaq.net/en/node/27955

CN's CEO -- E. Hunter Harrison -- is a member of the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), which meets with Bush, Harper and Calderon on Tuesday morning.

When justice fails, block the rails!

MONDAY 8AM: CARAVAN TO MONTEBELLO!!!

There are still about 50 spaces available on our buses this Monday. Please reserve beforehand at transportmontebello@gmail.com to be sure you get a spot! You can reserve all weekend.

Montebello is Fortress North America: Why we are protesting

WHY WE ARE PROTESTING!

Montebello, Quebec (August 19-21, 2007) -- George Bush, Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon are meeting behind steel fences and thousands of police at the Chateau Montebello, as part of the so-called "Security and Prosperity Partnership".

They talk about "security" and "prosperity", but their agenda really means insecurity and misery for working and oppressed peoples in the Americas.

This August, Stephen Harper, George Bush and Felipe Calderón will be just 90 minutes from Montreal, in Montebello, Qc!

Mobilize and Protest against George Bush, Stephen Harper and Felipe Calderon at the meeting of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP)

AUGUST 19-21, 2007
MONTEBELLO, QUEBEC

(Between Ottawa and Montreal)

In brief, the "Security and Prosperity Partnership" (SPP) combines the destructive neo-liberal policies of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with the fear and paranoia of post 9-11 "Homeland Security" policies. The SPP is firmly rooted within a colonial and capitalist framework. About the SPP:
